500 Miles to Memphis, an American punk rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, was formed in 2003 by Ryan Malott. The group blended punk rock with Americana, bluegrass, and country elements. Their debut album, 500 Miles to Memphis, was released in 2005 under 3rd Silo Records. Following this release, the band gained traction through extensive touring across the United States. In 2007, they released their second album, Sunshine in a Shot Glass. Notable achievements include winning multiple Cincinnati Entertainment Awards (CEA), such as Best Roots/Americana/Folk in 2005 and Best Rock in 2007 and 2008. Their music has been featured in various media, including movies, TV shows, and video games like Nitro Circus, Teen Mom, and Rock Band. In 2019, the band released Blessed Be the Damned, followed by Hard to Love in 2021.
