Pete Astor, born in England in 1960, quickly made his mark in the music scene with The Loft in 1983 and The Weather Prophets. His solo career took off in the early '90s with notable albums on Creation and Danceteria labels, finding particular success in France. After a hiatus, he returned with innovative projects Ellis Island Sound and The Wisdom of Harry, contributing significantly to indie music. Transitioning into academia, Astor now enriches the University of Westminster as a senior lecturer. His recent work includes the 2015 album "Spilt Milk" and the 2020 project "The Attendant".
