Marion Mitchell, born in 1941 in Seaham, County Durham, known by her stage name Janie Jones, was a British singer. She began her show-business career as a cabaret artist in late 1950s London, performing at the Windmill Theatre and various clubs in Mayfair. Her breakthrough came with "Witches Brew" (1965), which peaked at number 46 on the UK Singles Chart. Subsequent releases included "Gunning for You / Go, Go Away From Me" (1966) and "Tickle Me Tootsie Wootsies" (1967). Her singles were later compiled into We're in Love with the World of Janie Jones (1997). In 1983, she collaborated with members of The Clash to record "House of the Ju-Ju Queen". Jones also appeared on various television programs, including Thank Your Lucky Stars and The Russell Harty Show.
