Real name Laurie Osborne, Applebim is a British DJ, producer and label owner born in Derby (Derbyshire). Bassist with rock band The Moonson Bassoon between 1995 and 2001, he established himself as a key figure in the UK dubstep scene of the mid-2000s, co-founding the influential Skull Disco label with Sam Shackleton in 2005 and launching Apple Pips Recordings in 2008, while developing a distinctive, bass-heavy sound that blends dubstep with techno, house and experimental electronic styles. Based in Berlin, he has produced multiple singles and EPs, as well as several albums including Life in a Laser (2018), Hexworthy (2021), Infinite Hieroglyphics (2021), Emanate Jets (2023), Liminal Tides (2026) and Neolithic Neon (2026).
