Bomshel was an American country music duo formed in 2005 in Nashville by lead vocalist Buffy Lawson and backing vocalist Kristy Osmunson. Signed to Curb Records that same year, the group began performing at venues such as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. They released their debut single, “It Was an Absolutely Finger-Lickin', Grits and Chicken, Country Music Love Song”, in 2006, followed by “Ain't My Day to Care” and the title track of their EP Bomshel Stomp. Lawson departed in December 2007 and was replaced by Kelley Shepard. This new lineup achieved their first Top 40 country hit with “Fight Like a Girl”, which peaked at number 30 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 2009. The duo released their debut studio album, Fight Like a Girl, in October 2009, featuring the single “19 and Crazy”, which reached number 33. In January 2010, the Academy of Country Music nominated the pair for Top New Vocal Duo. After releasing the EP Halleluy'all in 2012, the ensemble disbanded.
