Black Breath is an American crust punk and death metal band from Bellingham, Washington, formed in 2005. They released the demo Demo '06 (2006) and their first EP Razor to Oblivion (2008) on Hot Mass Records. This release caught the attention of Southern Lord Records, which reissued the EP and signed them for future releases. They released their debut album Heavy Breathing (2010). They toured extensively with notable acts such as Morbid Angel, Converge, and Entombed, and performed at major festivals including Scion Rock Fest in Pomona, Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth, and Tuska Open Air Metal Festival in Helsinki. Their subsequent albums Sentenced to Life (2012) and Slaves Beyond Death (2015) further solidified their presence in the metal and punk scenes. Bassist Elijah Nelson died in 2019.
