Formed in Aberdeen, United Kingdom, in 1983, The Jasmine Minks were a British indie pop band consisting of Jim Shepherd, Adam Sanderson, Martin Keena, and Tom Reid. Their early singles, including "Think!" (1984) and "Where the Traffic Goes" (1984), were among the first releases by Creation Records. The band's debut album, One Two Three Four Five Six Seven, All Good Preachers Go To Heaven, was also released in 1984, followed by The Jasmine Minks (1986), Another Age (1988), and Scratch the Surface (1989). Notable songs include "What's Happening" (1985) "Cold Heart" (1986). The band toured extensively in Europe. Despite critical acclaim for their later albums, The Jasmine Minks ceased activity for a few years before reuniting in 2000 to release Veritas (2000) and signed to Poptones label for Popartglory (2001). In 2023, the band released We Make Our Own History.
