Electric Orange, a German rock band from Aachen, was founded in 1992 by Dirk Jan Müller. Initially performing with guest musicians, the band solidified its lineup over time. Between 1996 and 1999, Müller and singer Dirk Bittner released side projects Bloop and Chair5. Their music was characterized by progressive rock elements from the 1970s, incorporating instruments like the Hammond organ and Mellotron, with influences from bands such as Can and Pink Floyd. Electric Orange's debut album, Electric Orange, was released in 1993, followed by Orange Commutation and Cyberdelic in 1996. Notable subsequent albums include Fleischwerk (2005), Krautrock from Hell (2010), and XX (2012). Later releases include Volume 10 in 2014 and Encoded in 2020.
