Hooray for Earth was an American rock band founded in the 2000s by Noel Heroux. The group's first live show occurred in 2005, with self-released home recordings dating back to 2003. They gained local attention through frequent performances in Boston before relocating to Manhattan in August 2007. Their debut EP, Cellphone, was released by Dopamine Records on February 26, 2008. The band's first full-length LP, True Loves, was released in 2011 by Dovecote Records and by Memphis Industries in Europe. It featured the lead single "No Love", which landed prominently on BBC Radio 1's playlist in 2012. Their second LP, Racy, was released in 2014. In November 2014, Hooray for Earth announced a final show at Glasslands Gallery. Heroux signed with Sub Pop Records in 2015 and has recorded under Mass Gothic.
