Ten Second Epic was a Canadian alternative rock band from Edmonton, formed in 2002 by Andrew Usenik (vocals), Daniel Carriere (guitar), Craig Spelliscy (guitar), Sandy MacKinnon (bass), and Patrick Birtles (drums). Their early years involved playing local shows and releasing the EP Your Famous Last Words (2002). The band's breakthrough came with the release of their second EP, One More for the Road (2004), which sold nearly 4,000 units across Canada and the US. In 2006, Ten Second Epic recorded their debut full-length album, Count Yourself In (2006), at the Farm studios in Gibsons, BC, with producer Garth Richardson. The band achieved significant chart success with their second full-length album, Hometown (2009), which debuted at number 16 on the Canadian Album Chart in January 2009. Ten Second Epic officially announced their breakup on February 25, 2014, concluding their career with a final tour in May of that year. The band held two reunion shows in 2025.
