The Wilderness of Manitoba, a Canadian indie folk band, formed in Toronto in 2009, consisting of Will Whitwham, Raven Shields, and Tavo Diez de Bonilla. Their debut album, When You Left the Fire, was released in 2010, followed by Hymns of Love & Spirits in 2011. The band's lineup has evolved over time, transitioning from a quintet to a quartet, with notable members including Victoria Carr and Mike Brushey. In 2014, they released Between Colours, featuring guest guitarist Alex Lifeson from the band Rush on the track "Shift". The band's sixth album, Farewell to Cathedral, was released on October 29, 2021, which coincided with the death of drummer Adam Balsam.
