David Jason Weiner, known professionally as Dave Weiner, born on September 24, 1976, in the United States of America, is a guitarist known for his instrumental rock music. He began his musical journey by moving to Los Angeles to attend the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT). While working as an intern, he delivered papers to Steve Vai's house and subsequently gave Vai a demo. This led to Weiner joining Vai's band in 1999, performing with him for 23 years until his retirement in 2022. During this period, Weiner released three solo albums: Shove the Sun Aside (2004), On Revolute (2010), and A Collection of Short Stories: Vol. 1 (2012). His debut album was re-released in 2005. Weiner also released an EP titled A Collection of Short Stories: Vol. 2 in 2021.
