Kareem Blake, known professionally as Choclair, is a Canadian rapper born on March 27, 1975, in Scarborough, Ontario. He began his career at age 11 and started performing under the name Choclair while attending St. John Paul II Catholic Secondary School. In 1995, Blake released his debut single "Twenty One Years" on Knee Deep Records. His breakthrough came with the EP What It Takes (1997), which won the Best Rap Recording award at the 1997 Juno Awards. He contributed to the hip hop song "Northern Touch" alongside Rascalz, which received two Juno Awards and a MuchMusic Video Award. In 1999, Choclair signed with Priority Records and released his debut album Ice Cold (1999), produced by Saukrates. The album was certified gold in Canada, featured the hit single "Let's Ride", and won a Juno Award for Best Rap Recording. He subsequently released several albums, including Memoirs of Blake Savage (2002), Flagrant (2003), Flagship (2006), and Transit Music (2025).
