Arnold Fritzsch (born September 5, 1951) is a German pop and film music composer, singer, and producer from Schlettau. Fritzsch received musical training at the Robert-Schumann-Konservatorium. In 1973, Fritzsch co-founded the group Kreis, which was active until 1982. The ensemble released four albums and recorded the 1975 track “Doch ich wollt’ es wissen”. Following the dissolution of the band, Fritzsch established a private studio and produced recordings for artists including Olaf Berger, Ines Paulke, and Milva. Fritzsch released the solo album Wärme (1990) and composed film scores for television series such as Jockei Monika (1981), Der Bergdoktor (1992), and Herzschlag – Das Ärzteteam Nord (1998). In 2005, Fritzsch collaborated with Monika Radl on the album Verbluten verboten and the musical Mauerkinder. His later works include the orchestral piece Planet der Drachen (2010) and the scenic oratorio hadubrant (2013).
