Midnight Youth, a rock band, formed in 2006 while members attended Rangitoto College in New Zealand. The band released two independent singles "Supernatural" and "A New Day" in 2007. Their debut album The Brave Don’t Run was recorded in New York City with producer Terence Dover, and released in 2009. The album peaked at number 2 on the New Zealand Album Chart and included notable singles such as "The Letter" and "All On Our Own". The band won three awards at the 2009 New Zealand Music Awards, including Best Rock Album and Best Group. Their second album World Comes Calling was released in October 2011. Midnight Youth disbanded in March 2013 following lead singer Jeremy Redmore's departure to pursue a solo career.
