Born in Venezuela to Dominican parents and raised in New York, Napoles—formerly known as DJ Nápoles—has built a dynamic career as a producer, singer, and songwriter, working with some of Latin music’s biggest names. His early break came in 2009 when he co-produced and performed on DLG’s Renacer, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Tropical Latin Album. He gained further recognition in 2010 for his work on Prince Royce’s self-titled debut, which landed a Latin Grammy nomination and multiple Billboard Latin Music Awards. His production credits expanded to include collaborations with Carlos Vives, Romeo Santos, Juanes, Karol G, and Sebastián Yatra, while in 2016, he received another Latin Grammy nomination for producing Héctor Acosta’s Merengue y sentimiento. In 2021, Napoles launched his solo career with "Lejos de ti," followed by singles like "Yo toy chillín" with Fraze and "Alibabá" with Papi Rodríguez. His songwriting gained further traction with "Bailando Bachata," recorded by Ecuadorian artist Maykel, leading to a European tour. Other collaborations include "No le pare" (2022) with Wasel, "Tik Tak" (2023) with Meyson P, and "Mami ven aquí" (2025) with Bayron Fire, solidifying his evolution from hit-making producer to solo artist.
