The Greenes, an American Southern gospel trio from Boone, North Carolina, began their musical journey in 1979. The group was formed by Everette Ralph Greene and his three children: Timothy Everette "Tim" Greene, Kimberly Ellen Greene, and Anthony Elden "Tony" Greene. Their father played the piano as they toured churches and other venues. In 1988, Kimberly left the trio after marrying Dean Hopper of the Hoppers. The group continued with various members including Amy Lambert, Milena Parks, and TaRanda Kiser, who joined in 1997. The Greenes have released numerous studio albums including A Special Time (1998), Wonderful Story (1999), and God is a Good God (2006). Everette Ralph Greene passed away in 2004, followed by Tony Greene's death from pneumonia in 2010. TaRanda Greene left the trio to pursue a solo career with Cana's Voice.
