The Olympia Brass Band, a jazz brass band from New Orleans, was active in various iterations throughout the 20th century. The original group, then called The Olympia, featured notable members such as Freddie Keppard and Kid Ory during its active period from the late 19th century to around 1914. In 1958, saxophonist Harold Dejan, leader of the 2nd unit of the Eureka Brass Band, formed a new iteration of the band after splitting from the Eureka Brass Band. The Olympia Brass Band gained significant exposure through their appearance in the 1973 James Bond film Live and Let Die, where they performed during a funeral march scene. Their discography includes albums like New Orleans Street Parade (1968). The band's activities are considered to have ended following the death of Richard "King" Matthews in 2010.
