Critically acclaimed, Miro’s first album En retard sur ma vie made it to the top of ICI Musique’s and Ic3y mag’s yearly rankings for best albums. Blending hip-hop, R&B, soul and pop sounds in a hooky style, this first opus – fiercely urban and codirected by Pierre-Luc Rioux (known for his work with Loud, Bruno Mars, Sia, David Guetta) – places Miro in an envious spot in the contemporary musical scene and gave him his first nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2020 Gala ADISQ.
After many creative residencies, a first show in Paris as part of festival Aurores Montréal, an official showcase at Gala Rideau 2020 and a great success with 5 music videos totalizing over 500,000 views, it goes without saying that Miro is no longer late, but rather ahead of his success. The one critics call an “authentical hitmaker” hits the mark yet again during Summer 2020 by becoming the first artist to perform on the roof of Montreal’s Olympic Stadium. This high wire video recording broadcasted live from the top of the highest leaning tower in the world brought together almost 125,000 spectators and marked the imagination of many with spectacular images of Montreal caught by drones. Accompanied by Sarahmée, Claudia Bouvette and Franky Fade for the show, Miro got an enviable press coverage in the province as well as glowing reviews across the board. With a career beginning that hits this hard, we can predict Miro is here to stay! Currently writing and composing his second album, the young multi-instrumentalist is not yet done surprising everyone.
On June 22, 2021, Miro released Backdoor, the first track of his second album scheduled to drop in the Fall. The hype around this new single and music video suggests a great reception for this second LP awaited by his fans and by the industry!
