The Museum, a contemporary Christian music band from Georgia, was formed in 2008 after Ben Richter moved to Atlanta and invited his friend Geoffrey Ashcraft to join him. The trio, completed by Josh Kirk, began leading worship services and writing songs together. Inspired by a museum dedicated to the Romanian Revolution of 1989 during a trip to Romania, they adopted the name "The Museum." In late 2009, Richter signed with BEC Recordings, and the band released their debut album Let Love Win in 2010. The band partnered with the Not for Sale Campaign in 2011, raising over $10,000 to combat human trafficking through their Not For Sale Freedom Tour. Ashcraft left the band in 2011, and Chris Brink, who had joined in 2009, departed in 2013. Their other albums include Only Rescue (2012), which peaked at number 12 on the US Heatseekers Chart, and What We Stand For (2014).
