Concord Dawn, a New Zealand drum and bass group formed in mid-1999, consisted of Matt Harvey (aka Matty C) and Evan Short. They were signed by local electronic music label Kog Transmissions and released their debut album Concord Dawn in July 2000. Their second album, Disturbance, was released in May 2001 and won Best Electronic Album at the 2001 bNet Music Awards. The group's third album, Uprising, released in June 2003, reached platinum sales status in New Zealand and featured internationally acclaimed tracks such as "Morning Light" and "Don't Tell Me". Following Evan Short's departure, Matt Harvey continued as a solo artist under the Concord Dawn name with the release of the EP The Race to Zero in 2011. The duo reunited by the end of 2023 to give a series of last shows in their home country, New Zealand, and wrap it up for good.
