Otto Dix, a Russian darkwave band from Khabarovsk, was formed in 2004 by Michael Drau and Marie Slip. Named after the German expressionist painter Otto Dix, their debut performance in 2004, featured two songs: "Белый пепел" ("Cendre blanche") and "Покаяние" ("Repentir"). In 2005, they released their first album Эго (Ego) and a music video for the title track. The band moved to Saint-Pétersbourg in 2006 and released Город later that year. Otto Dix gained significant traction with their third album, Атомная зима released in 2007. Notable tours include their first anniversary tour in 2010, which featured performances at the Castle Party festival in Poland and a concert in Berlin.
