Phi Life Cypher

Phi-Life Cypher, a British hip hop group from Luton, consisted of MCs Si Phili and Life MC, along with DJ Nappa. They gained early success on the UK underground circuit and reached the final of Tim Westwood's Talent 2000 competition. Their breakthrough came with their appearance on DJ Skitz's "Fingerprints of the Gods" track. Phi-Life Cypher was initially featured on an early version of Gorillaz' "Clint Eastwood," though this version was later replaced by Del the Funky Homosapien. They performed with Gorillaz at the 2002 Brit Awards, featuring in a 3D animation performance. The group released several albums, including Millennium Metaphors (2000), Higher Forces (2003) and Playback (2006).
