Canadian singer, Marie-Ève Janvier, was born in 1984 in Roxton Pond, Estrie, Quebec . Her early involvement in musical theater included roles in Notre-Dame-de-Paris at age 14 and Les Dix commandements at 16. Janvier's breakthrough came with the release of her self-titled debut album, Marie-Ève Janvier, in January 2007 under Mercury (Universal) France. The album achieved significant success, reaching number 5 on the Quebec Albums Chart. In 2008, Janvier embarked on a tour of Quebec with Jean-François Breau, her boyfriend and frequent collaborator. Their joint albums Donner pour donner (2009) and La vie à deux (2011), along with their hit single "J'ai un problème", solidified their popularity. They also starred together in a revival of the musical Don Juan in 2012, followed by the promotional tour La vie à deux tour. In 2014, they received five joint nominations at the Gala of ADISQ for Noël à deux, including "Best Group of Year" and "Album of the Year - Best Sold."
