Blue King Brown was an Australian urban roots ensemble formed in 2003 in Byron Bay by Nattali Rize and Carlo Santone. Their debut self-titled EP Blue King Brown (2005) featured the track "Water", which gained high rotation on national youth radio Triple J. The band's first album Stand Up was issued in 2006 through Roots Level Records and was nominated for the J Award of that year. Their second album Worldwize Part 1 – North & South, released in 2010, peaked at number 44 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Their third and final album Born Free was released in 2014. They toured extensively, supporting acts such as Santana and Michael Franti & Spearhead, before disbanding after their 2015 tour. Other notable single releases include "Come Check Your Head" (2006), "Stand Up" (2007), and "Women's Revolution" (2010).
