Warrior Soul is an American rock band formed in New York City by lead singer and producer Kory Clarke in 1987. Clarke founded the group following a performance art project and signed a deal with Geffen Records. The early lineup featured Clarke alongside bassist Pete McClanahan, guitarist John Ricco, and drummer Paul Ferguson. The band released the albums Last Decade Dead Century (1990), Drugs, God and the New Republic (1991), Salutations from the Ghetto Nation (1992), and Chill Pill (1993) for Geffen Records. Warrior Soul released The Space Age Playboys (1994) on the independent Futurist label. They toured with Queensrÿche and performed at the Dynamo Open Air and Monsters of Rock festivals in 1995. After the group dissolved in 1995, Clarke revived the band name in 2007. Subsequent studio releases included Destroy the War Machine (2009), Stiff Middle Finger (2012), Back on the Lash (2017), Rock 'N' Roll Disease (2019), Cocaine and Other Good Stuff (2020), and Out on Bail (2022).
