Resin Dogs is an Australian hip hop group formed in Brisbane, Queensland in 1996 by DJ Katch (Andrew Garvie), producer Blunted Stylus (Geoff Boardman), and drummer Dave “Acosta” Atkins. Their debut EP Grinnin’ was released in 1998 on their independent Hydrofunk label, followed by later EPs including From The Volcanic Lab (1998) and Daily Trouble (2000), with the track “Say Yeah” receiving Triple J airplay and appearing on Australian independent charts. In 2000, Hydrofunk entered a distribution deal with Virgin Records/EMI, through which Resin Dogs released their debut album Grand Theft Audio. The group went on to release Hi Fidelity Dirt (2003) and More (2007). They have performed extensively at major Australian festivals including Livid, Homebake, and Big Day Out, and won three Australian Dance Music Awards.
