Hailing from the Yvelines region, The Stumps released their debut album, The Beat, back in 2011. Since then, they've been distilling their catchy melodies and electro-tinged pop-rock over the course of numerous concerts, more than sixty of them in Parisian venues such as La Maroquinerie, Bus Palladium, Le Réservoir and Batofar. They really changed dimension in 2015, thanks to the hit "Homerun", with its contagious energy and obvious filiation with one of electro-rock's heavyweights, Phoenix. Their style is now firmly established, with a constant concern for accentuation (they sing in English), rhythmic placement and word linking, for an irresistibly danceable result. Despite this promising success, their acute sense of self-mockery has in no way been altered, as they have chosen to keep the name inspired by their hesitant beginnings on their instruments, which means...stumps.
