Trio San José, a Spanish folk trio consisting of musicians José Ivanco, Pedro Prosquellas, and Juan Javal, originated in Spain. The group gained international recognition with their interpretation of "Ave Maria No Morro", originally performed by Brazilian singer Dalva de Oliveira. This track became a significant hit, spending 14 months in the German Singlecharts from March 1959 to June 1960. Trio San José released several EPs and albums throughout their career, including Una Sera A Granada, Ave Maria No Morro, and Rumba Samba Cha-Cha-Cha. Their music was initially distributed by Columbia Records in Germany between 1958 and 1961. Notable singles during this period included "Besame Mucho" and "La Paloma". From 1963 to 1964, their recordings were released by Ariola, featuring tracks like "Cucurrucucú Paloma".
