Alfred Hause, born August 8, 1920, in Ibbenbüren, Germany, was a violinist and conductor known for his work in tango and entertainment music. He studied classical music at the Weimarer Konservatorium and played with various dance orchestras in Berlin before serving as a military musician during World War II. In 1945, Hause joined Willy Steiner's Radio-Tanzorchester Hamburg and later led the NWDR's Tanz- und Unterhaltungsorchester. He gained prominence through radio and television appearances, winning the first Deutsche Schlager-Festspiele in 1961 with "Bailando a dos" and composing songs like "Tango Evita". Hause's orchestra toured extensively, notably in Japan from 1965 to 1989, and he collaborated with artists such as Freddy Quinn. He passed away on January 14, 2005.
