Necrotted, a German death metal band from Abtsgmünd, Baden-Württemberg, was founded in early 2008 by bassist Fabian Fink and guitarist Tobias Sturm. In March 2010, they released their debut EP Kingdom of Hades, which garnered positive reviews. Their first full-length album, Anchors Apart, was recorded with Nikita Kamprad and released in June 2012 via Supreme Chaos Records. In 2013, Michael Heim and Tobias Sturm left the band, leading to Fabian Fink taking over vocals. The band's second LP, Utopia 2.0, was released in October 2014. Necrotted continued to tour with major acts like Hatebreed and Napalm Death. In 2017, they released Worldwide Warfare via Rising Nemesis Records, followed by the EP Die for Something Worthwhile in October 2019. Their fifth studio album, Operation: Mental Castration, was recorded with Aaron Rusch at The Engine Recording Studios and released in March 2021 under Reaper Entertainment.
