The Pharmacy is an American indie rock and psychedelic band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 2002 on Vashon Island by Scott Yoder and Brendhan Bowers. The duo initially drew influences from bands like Nirvana, The Beatles, The Unicorns, Electric Light Orchestra, and Andrew W.K., creating a mix of garage and punk rock. Their first release, the Ship of Fools EP (2003), came out in August. In 2005, they released their debut album B.F.F. under Don't Stop Believin' Records. The band gained local prominence after touring with Kimya Dawson in 2005 and performing at Plan-It-X Fest in July 2006. Throughout the years, The Pharmacy released several notable albums including Choose Yr. Own Adventure (2008), Weekend (2010), Stoned & Alone (2012), and Spells (2014). They also released EPs such as Overcast Summer (2006), Dig Your Grave (2012), and Josephine (2012). The band toured extensively, performing in over 18 countries across Europe. Notable releases include the single "Abominable" (2007) and the split EP WAYDWYL (2008) with Japanther.
