Elena Risteska is a Macedonian pop, hip hop, and R&B singer and songwriter from Skopje, born on April 27, 1986. She began her career in 1994 by joining the folk dance club KUD "Kočo Racin" and made her television debut in 1996 on the Mak-Karaoke Show. In 2003, she won the reality competition Play - Search For A Star, which led to the release of her debut studio album, Den i Nok. Risteska represented Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Ninanajna", finishing at number 12. This result remained the country's highest finish in the contest until 2019. Her discography also includes the albums 192 (2006), Milioner (2008), and Bez Šminka (2016). In 2014, she was the runner-up in the second season of the series Your Face Sounds Familiar. Risteska has also written songs for artists such as Lambe Alabakoski and Aleksandra Pileva.
