Fergus & Geronimo is an experimental rock band formed in late 2008 in Denton, Texas, by Andrew Savage and Jason Kelly. The duo's musical style incorporated indie rock, lo-fi, and noise pop. Savage and Kelly formed the ensemble while working on the Teenage Cool Kids album Foreign Lands, which Kelly recorded and mixed. The group drew influences from Mothers of Invention and The Four Tops. In July 2009, the band released its first single, “Harder Than It's Ever Been”, followed by “Blind Muslim Girl” and “Tell It (in My Ear)”. The group released the single “Never Satisfied” in 2010. Fergus & Geronimo released its debut studio album, Unlearn, in 2011 and followed with the recording Funky Was the State of Affairs in 2012.
