Small moments, big stories.
People say he's Finland's version of Ed Sheeran, and with his guitar driven folk-pop, it's not hard to see the parable. The up-and-comer’s evocative lyrics and heartfelt melodies resonate with those who appreciate the art of storytelling through music.
Singer-songwriter Joel Sundkvist started releasing his music independently in 2020, slowly building a fanbase single by single.
Joel signed to Mantik Music Group in 2021 and has since then written with people like Carol Karpinen (one of the masterminds behind folk-pop star Noah Kahan).
Sundkvist's 2024 singles were collected to the EP "A Present Past" in September. The EP gained attention from music blogs and press and during 2024 he doubled his social media and Spotify following. His music is also actively played on radio in his home country of Finland.
Joel signed a record deal with US label Six8 Entertainment in 2025 and is now releasing singles from his second EP with the fourth single (Station 23) dropping on November 7th.
