Vicente Díaz González (born 13 December 1948) is a Spanish tonada and pop singer from Soto del Barco. Díaz began a musical career by winning 17 prizes in local song contests during his youth. Often compared to the singer El Presi, Díaz developed a style blending traditional Asturian themes with pop arrangements, achieving popularity in Asturias and America. Díaz released a self-titled debut album in 1976 and recorded over twenty albums. His discography includes Fiesta en la aldea (1981), Orbayu (1982), Paraíso Natural (1997), and A mi tierra (2025). Díaz received a nomination for Best Song in Asturian at the 2005 Academia de la Música Awards for the track “La Pola de Siero”. In 2009, his album Montes Cantábricos received the Premio de la Crítica RPA for Best Asturian Music Album. Díaz recorded the tribute Homenaje a El Presi (2001) and performed dozens of concerts annually at regional festivals.
