Rodolfo "Rutty" Rotta, born on October 14, 1950, in Villadossola, Italy, was a Swiss-Italian blues guitarist and vocalist. He grew up in Lucerne, Switzerland, where his family emigrated, and began playing guitar at the age of 14. Rotta returned to Verona, Italy, and founded Rudy's Blues Band. His career included collaborations with notable artists such as Brian Auger, John Mayall, Robben Ford, and Peter Green. In 1988, he released his album Real Live. Throughout his career, Rotta produced several albums including Blues' Greatest Hits (1990), Some of My Favorite Songs For... (2006), and Blue Inside (2009). Rotta passed away on July 3, 2017, in Verona after an illness. Recordings including Now And Then... (2019) were released posthumously.
