Formed in Germany in 1995, Trademark built an audience throughout Western Europe and multiple Asian countries during the band's seven-year run, thanks a popular combination of soft rock, dance pop, and adult contemporary ballads. The group featured vocalists Achim Remling (the son of solo artist Wolfgang Petry), Mirko Bäumer, and Sascha Sadeghian, all of whom appeared on Trademark's debut album, Another Time Another Place, in 1997. The album peaked at Number 26 in Germany, where the singles "I'll Be The One" and "I'm Not Supposed To Love You Anymore" received heavy radio airplay. Both songs became popular in Hong Kong, too, while another track, "Miss You Finally," served as the TV theme of the Hong Kong medical drama Healing Hands. Trademark's second album, Only Love, followed in 2000. The record's title track became one of the group's most enduring hits, with the Hong Kong-based singer Jacky Cheung — one of the so-called "Four Heavenly Kings" of Cantopop — releasing his own version of the song on the 當我想起你 EP in 2000. Trademark broke up two years later, with the compilation album Miss You Finally...The Very Best of Trademark marking the group's final release. Achim Remling, Mirko Bäumer, and Sascha Sadeghian all pursued solo careers following the split, with Achim Remling finding success as an interpreter of his father's hit songs.
