The small daily things and the big that sometimes seems intangible. Elaine writes Dutch-language narrative pop music about growing up and poses questions in her songs that may have no answers, lyrics where the concrete intersects with the abstract. Searching for a balance between music you can dream away to and rhythms you want to move to, the electronic sounds find the acoustic instruments over which she dances with her clear voice.
'Elaine' is the solo project of 24-year-old singer, (voice) actress and songwriter Elaine Hakkaart. In 2022 she released her first single 'Verstaanbaar' and was able to write the song 'Vergezicht' for the NS International commercial. Her first EP 'Als ik mij vergis' was released on December 8, 2023. In 2024, a whole lot of new music awaits that she wrote together with producer Han Kerkhof. Together with her band, the songs come to life in an energetic, explosive and vulnerable live set.
