Tiago Silva was born on January 28, 1989, in Mindelo, São Vicente. He grew up in a musical environment, influenced by his father, a former member of the bands “Wings” and “Gota Gota,” and his brother. At the age of 9, he started singing and playing the guitar, teaching himself. As a young man, he formed the group “Life” with friends, which made an impact in Mindelo with performances at schools, festivals, and local events.
In 2009, Tiago moved to Paris to study musicology, later deepening his knowledge at ATLA - Contemporary Music School. There, he formed the group “Nos 3,” performing in various European cities, including at the legendary venue “New Morning.” He is the author of songs like “Liberta bo mente” (2014) and “Vida” (2015), which reflect his connection to Cape Verdean roots and the influence of Brazilian music.
Returning to Cape Verde, he released singles such as “Vive bo vida” (2016), “Bô” (2020), and the debut EP “Nô Amá” (2021). In 2022, he solidified his career with the EP “Kês D’meu,” featuring collaborations with artists like Mark Delman and Kiddye Bonz. Tiago has participated in major festivals such as Baía das Gatas and Mindel Summer Jazz, showcasing versatility and artistic maturity.
