Honduran Eva Cortés puts a Latin twist on classic vocal jazz. Composer and performer Eva Cortés has become a star in Spain. Her records are also steeped in Spanish folklore and flamenco. A blend of original compositions and covers (including several of French standards) Solo Contigo (2007), Como Agua entre los Dedos (2009), and El Mar de mi Vida (2010) established her reputation in Europe and the USA. With Back 2 the Source in 2011, Eva Cortés tackles for the first time a repertoire composed exclusively of her own versions of classics. In November 2012, the new Latin jazz star released her acclaimed Jazz One night with Eva Cortés in Madrid on CD and DVD.
