Ganz Schön Feist was a German music group from Göttingen, formed in the late 1980s by Mathias Zeh and Hans Helmers. The band later included Rainer Schacht and Beo Brockhausen, describing their style as "PopAcappellaComedy," which combined humor with complex vocal arrangements. The group's first single "Eifersucht" was released in 1989, followed by the win of the German Rock Prize in 1991. Their breakthrough came with the song "Es ist gut, wenn du weißt, was du willst," leading to appearances on popular television shows. In 1995, they released their second studio album Pille Palle. The band's growing popularity led to collaborations with Roof Music and Sony Music/Universal, resulting in the release of Gänseblümchen in 1997. Notable tracks from this period include "Du willst immer nur ficken" and "Junge, Junge." The band continued with albums like Öffne Dein Bewusstsein (2000) and Irgendwoanders (2003), often performing at renowned venues. In 2004, Beo Brockhausen left the band, and Christoph Jess took his place. The group's final album, Hüa!, was released in 2005 with a more live-oriented production style. Ganz Schön Feist officially retired from touring in early 2013.
