Created in 1995 by P. DeStijl, musician turned producer. Their period of activity can be divided into two phases. The first, from 1996 to 1999, saw the release of the albums DeStijl and De: construction, combining cold-wave and electro. Then, after a 10-year break, DeStijl returned with The White Stripes, a nod to Jack White's band, whose second album was titled DeStijl back in 2001. DeStijl then released a new album every two years, mostly recorded in Manchester where they work with local famous artists such as Peter Hook, Kermit, Yves Altana, Jim spencer, Julie Gordon, Ricky Turner, liam winachi Croker or Scottish producer Howie B. After a 3 songs collaboration, Mancunian Scott Jeffreys become the band’s lead singer for the latest 3 albums of the 10 released so far.
