Enrico Baiano, born on October 2, 1960, in Naples, Italy, is an Italian harpsichordist and fortepianist known for his expertise in early music. He graduated in piano and composition at Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella in Naples before specializing in harpsichord, clavichord, and fortepiano at Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan. Baiano performed at prominent early music festivals across Europe, Israel, and Japan, showcasing a repertoire spanning the 16th to 21st centuries. Notable albums include Concertos for harpsichord solo (2000) and Das Wohltemperirte Clavier I & II (2022). Baiano earned several international awards, including the Deutsche Schallplattenpreis, Diapason d'Or, Choc de la Musique, Platte des Monats, and the Franco Abbiati Prize in 2024. He served as a professor of harpsichord and historical keyboards at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome.
