The One, whose real name is Jordan Quintero, is an Ecuadorian-born bachata singer based in the Dominican Republic. He began releasing music under the label La Refinería Música in 2025, blending traditional Dominican bachata elements with contemporary Latin pop influences. His first single, “Como Te Miro a Ti,” arrived on March 7, 2025, marking his debut as both performer and songwriter. He followed with “Amor Cardiaco” in April and “Te Metiste en Mi Piel” in May, both highlighting his focus on emotionally direct lyrics and melodic guitar work. On July 22, 2025, The One released his breakthrough song “Cuento de Hadas,” co-written with Daniel Vera Zurita, which quickly became his most streamed track and introduced his romantic, narrative-driven style to a broader audience. A remastered version was later issued as The One King, further strengthening his collaboration with La Refinería’s producer Miguel Peralta. Additional 2025 releases such as “Llegaste Tú” and “Te Metiste en Mi Piel (Versión 2)” confirmed his role as one of the most promising new voices linking Ecuador’s diaspora and the Dominican bachata mainstream.
