Manuel Humberto Wirzt Retta, known as Manuel Wirzt, was born on March 26, 1963, in San Nicolás de los Arroyos, Argentina. He began his artistic journey at a young age, receiving his first guitar at nine and forming his first quartet with schoolmates. In the early 1980s, Wirzt moved to Buenos Aires to study at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. Wirzt's music career took off in the late 1980s with the release of his first album, Funcionamiento, followed by Mala información in 1989. He gained significant recognition as a breakthrough artist at the Festival Chateau Rock in Córdoba in February 1988. Throughout the 1990s, Wirzt released his self-titled album Manuel Wirzt, which included the hit "Donde quiera que estés".
