Carlo Grante, born in 1960 in L'Aquila, Italy, is a classical pianist known for his extensive repertoire and academic contributions. He graduated from the National Academy of St Cecilia in Rome and continued his studies with Ivan Davis at the University of Miami, Rudolf Firkusny at the Juilliard School, and Alisa Kezheradze-Pogorelić in London. Grante's discography includes over 50 albums, featuring works by Franz Liszt, Domenico Scarlatti, Ferruccio Busoni, Leopold Godowsky, and Kaikhosru Sorabji. Notable performances include collaborations with orchestras such as the Staatskapelle Dresden, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Orchestra dell'Accademia di Santa Cecilia. In 1995, he premiered Leopold Godowsky's 53 Studies on the Études of Chopin at the Newport Music Festival. Grante has also authored academic articles on piano methodology and literature.
