Andreas Martin Hofmeir, born in 1978 in Munich, Germany, is a Bavarian musician. He began playing various instruments at a young age before switching to the tuba at 12. After completing his military service, Hofmeir studied music and won the Citta di Porcia International Tuba Competition in 2004 and the German Music Competition in 2005. He served as a solo tubist for the Bruckner Orchester Linz from 2004 to 2008 and was appointed professor at the Mozarteum University Salzburg in 2010. Hofmeir gained significant popularity as a member of the Bavarian brass band LaBrassBanda, which was founded in 2007. The band's notable performances include concerts at the Chiemsee Reggae Summer and Hurricane festivals. Hofmeir left LaBrassBanda in 2014 to focus on his classical and cabaret projects.
