Evgeny Sviridov, a Russian violinist born in 1989, in Saint Petersburg, is a Russian violinist. He began his musical journey with early training at the piano and later transitioned to the violin. He studied at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory and gained recognition by winning several competitions, including the Yehudi-Menuhin Competition in Cardiff and the Leipzig Bach Competition, which inspired him to study Baroque violin at the Musikhochschule Köln from 2015 to 2017. Sviridov became a concertmaster for Concerto Köln in 2015 and began lecturing Baroque violin at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen since 2018. He has recorded notable albums, including Sonatas By J.s. Bach And H.i.f. Biber (2011) and Sonate Op. 1 (2018), which featured Tartini sonatas and won the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik.
