Myshkin is an American folk singer-songwriter born in Indiana to Dutch immigrant parents. After moving to New Orleans in 1993, she collaborated with groups including The Road Dog Divas and the Mike West Band. She and Mike West toured extensively as a duo for a decade before she formed Myshkin’s Ruby Warblers in 2001. The group’s debut album, Rosebud Bullets, was released in 2002 and featured on the 2003 top 10 lists of The Village Voice and The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate. In 2002, Myshkin relocated to Portland, Oregon, where she partnered with producer Sailor Banks to release Corvidae (2004) and Sigh Semaphore (2006). After moving to California, she began performing as Myshkin Warbler. In 2018, she released Trust and the High Wire, a project inspired by her wife’s recovery from a near-death experience.
